Introduction to Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic Pitch Type 'CFRP'

Introducing the pitch-based "CFRP," which is lightweight, highly rigid, excellent in vibration damping, and combines high thermal conductivity with low thermal expansion.

CFRP is broadly categorized into two types: "PAN-based" and "pitch-based." Our company recommends "pitch-based" CFRP. Compared to PAN-based CFRP, pitch-based CFRP excels in tensile modulus (stiffness) and is particularly suitable for stiffness design applications. (PAN-based CFRP excels in tensile strength and is often used for strength design applications.) 【Heat】 In terms of heat resistance, there are special grades ranging from 80°C to a maximum of 250°C, with a coefficient of thermal expansion lower than that of ceramics and high thermal conductivity grades exceeding 100W. 【Vibration】 It has excellent vibration damping properties, and significant effects can be expected for forks used to transport heavy objects compared to metal. It exhibits outstanding performance in both self-weight deflection and load deflection when carrying workpieces. Because deflection can be minimized to the extreme, it is also possible to transport forks into narrow openings. 【Stiffness】 Due to the high tensile strength of PAN-based CFRP, it is often used in passenger aircraft, wind power generation, and automotive parts. Pitch-based CFRP can control the modulus of elasticity over a wide range, achieving high stiffness, and is widely used in satellite components, antennas, and robotic hands. We can design based on the customer's usage conditions. Please feel free to contact us first.

CFRP irregular cross-section tube

In addition to "round" and "square," tubes with various cross-sectional shapes can be created!!

There are various methods for molding composite materials, but generally, it is done through external pressure molding. The irregular cross-section tubes can be molded using our unique internal pressure molding method, allowing for the formation of CFRP tubes with various cross-sectional shapes, such as polygons, as shown in the photo. FRP can be considered the only material that allows for the design of variable thickness structures among structural materials. Therefore, it is necessary to integrate the structure as much as possible, avoid secondary bonding, and ensure a compact structural design. *For more details, please download the PDF or contact us.*

Optical equipment housing

Carbon fiber is a material with a "negative" coefficient of linear expansion!

●Optical Equipment Housing Utilizing the low thermal expansion properties, which is one of the characteristics of CFRP, we will manufacture housings and structural products with minimal dimensional changes at varying temperatures. 【Overview】 The relationship between the lenses and the tube of a telescope is similar to the structure of the human eye. The lens of the eye, known as the crystalline lens, can change its thickness through the ciliary body, allowing it to adjust the retinal image. In a telescope, the tube can be considered analogous to the retina. However, in telescopes, any displacement in the diameter of the tube can lead to critical defects. Carbon fibers have a negative linear expansion coefficient when considered individually, so it is expected that by orienting them appropriately, we can create structures with “±0” expansion, meaning that the expansion and contraction due to temperature changes will be minimal. ★For more details, please request materials or download the documents★

Surface Machined Finish Plate "CFRP Plate"

Introduction of CFRP plates with hollow structures using CF rib structures. High dimensional stability, low thermal expansion rate, and high rigidity!

Our company is committed to creating products that satisfy our customers by providing a consistent service from material design to molding, machining, joining, assembly, and finishing. CFRP (carbon fiber reinforced plastic) is an anisotropic material where the fibers govern mechanical and physical properties. Strain can occur due to stress changes from molding processes (temperature changes from curing temperature to room temperature), cutting processes (fiber cutting), and adhesive bonding (curing shrinkage). Considering the various conditions of the molding, machining, and assembly processes and reflecting them in material and structural design is key to producing quality products that meet our customers' requirements. For more details, please contact us or download our catalog.

What are the benefits of using carbon in component parts?

Productivity can improve by over 30%! By replacing metal with carbon, it is possible to achieve weight reduction, reduced deflection, and improved vibration damping.

Using CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic) offers the following advantages: - It is lightweight and has excellent specific strength, enabling labor-saving in manufacturing lines. This also allows for a reduction in CO2 emissions through lower energy costs. - It has excellent vibration damping properties, which improves productivity through high speed and high precision in conveying equipment. - It has a low thermal expansion rate, resulting in minimal degradation of functional properties even at high temperatures. - It has excellent X-ray permeability, allowing for clear images to be captured with minimal exposure and irradiation. By designing materials and laminates according to the intended application, it is possible to manufacture device components that maximize these advantages. Past production achievements include: Aircraft interior and exterior parts, radar domes, Interior and exterior parts for two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles, competitive bicycle parts, Arms for conveying equipment, semiconductor manufacturing equipment parts, Medical devices, audio parts, and more. We leverage our years of accumulated knowledge and experience to provide consistent production from design and analysis to manufacturing, inspection, and shipping, in order to meet the quality demanded by our customers. We encourage you to consider the use of CFRP, which offers various advantages.
